NAER to review natural gas charges Wednesday

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) on Wednesday will examine Moldovagaz’s request to review the natural gas supply charge, IPN reports.

According to the draft published by the Agency, a charge of 10,955 lei per thousand cubic meters is to be set for exit points from high-pressure gas distribution networks, as against the charge of 10,933 lei requested by Moldovagaz.

For exit points from medium-pressure natural gas distribution networks, NAER proposes a charge of 12,091 lei per thousand cubic meters, compared to the charge of 12,084 lei asked by Moldovagaz.

In the case of low-pressure networks, to which all household consumers and a part of non-household consumers are connected, a charge of 16,078 lei per thousand cubic meters is proposed, as against the charge of 16,062 lei requested by the supplier. Currently, this charge is 18 lei.

The draft says the decision will enter into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

The Agency’s meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 10 a.m. In addition to the request to approve the regulated prices for natural gas, which was received from Moldovagaz, the Agency is also examining applications to approve charges for 12 operators of the natural gas distribution system.
