The Moldovan Cabinet today formally initiated negotiations on a cooperation agreement between the National Anticorruption Agency (NAC) and Romania's Ministry of Internal Affairs in a bid to advance common anti-corruption efforts, IPN reports.
The cooperation will involve exchanges of information, including investigation data, exchanges of experts, and an increased number of joint task forces to investigate corruption cases.
Considering Romania's EU membership and vast experience, the likelihood will be increased that relevant European or international agencies will join the efforts under the Agreement, argues the note accompanying the Cabinet decision.
The Agreement is planned to be signed with an unlimited duration. Results will be assessed annually by rotation.
