The winter holidays will bring music shows, gifts and richer menus for the kids and youth in children's homes.

Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga told IPN that holiday meals with fruits, sweets and other goodies will be organized on New Year's Eve in all the children's homes subordinated to the Ministry. “In some of them, holiday parties have already been organized and the children received presents. The members of the Cabinet hold the tutelage of these institutions and I hope that through our care and attitude we can manage to create a holiday mood for these children”, said Buliga.

The official added that the authorities keep in touch with the parents who have abandoned their children and try to convince them to take the kids home at least for the holidays, but few accept and the children's home staff and teachers must act as parents for the kids.
