Music Festival “Martsishor” 2016 to start at end-February

The International Music Festival “Martsishor” 2016 will take place between February 29 and March 11. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the event will include a series of concerts involving artists from the country and abroad, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Culture.

The concerts in Chisinau will feature such internationally renowned singers as Stefan Banica Junior, Soso Pavliashvili, Natalia Gavrilan and Irina Loghin and such famous national singers as Valy Boghean, Ilian Garnet, Mihai Munteanu, Olga Busuioc and Mihai Agafita.

The festival includes performances by the National Folk Music Orchestra “Lautarii” (“The Fiddlers”), the National Academic Ensemble of Folk Dances “Joc” (“Dancing”), the Symphonic Orchestra of the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, the Choral Coir “Doina” and the Folk Music Orchestra “Folklore”.

The concerts will take place in different regions of the country. In Chisinau, the performances will take place at the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac”, the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” and the Organ Hall.
