The grand hall of the Palace of the Republic, where the MPs hold sittings, was transformed into a stage by 20 young instrumentalists who are members of the Chisinau Youth Orchestra. The conductor took the place of the Speaker, while the instrumentalists occupied the seats of MPs. “We think that the classical music of a high quality deserves governing in the hearts of the Moldovan people. We want to educate love for this genre of music,” said conductor and director of the orchestra Adriano Marian, explaining why they decided to stage a flashmob meeting, IPN reports.
The young people played several famous parts by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. Adriano Marian said they chose the assembly hall of the legislature because Parliament is one of the most important state institutions that takes the most important decisions and adopts laws on the youth and culture.
The Chisinau Youth Orchestra has about 100 active members. This month, the orchestra will give two concerts in Romania’s Sinaia andBucharest and a number of open-air concerts in Chisinau and Balti.
