Specialist personnel in district and local museums will be hired by the management of the respective museums, under a legal amendment adopted on Friday.
Under the previous rules, specialists for local and district museums, unlike in national museums, were being hired by the local and district authorities, respectively. Presenting the draft amendment, MP Adrian Lebedinschi said the measure will greatlly simplify the process.
The old procedure “excluded the museum administrations from the process of making hiring decisions as regards specialist personnel. This (...) created impediments to an effective management, with the personnel not being subordinated to the director in an employer-employee relationship,” argued the MP.
