The museum complex Orheiul Vechi will be transformed into public institution – the cultural and natural reserve Orheiul Vechi. The reorganization will permit to better protect this monumental complex, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ion Munteanu said, quoted by Info Prim Neo. The reserve is 11.064,56 hectares in area and includes patrimonial facilities, archeological and ethnographic sites, flora and fauna, land and water etc. The reserve’s management plan, tourism development strategy, urbanism and territorial development plan will be formulated during the next three months. Ion Munteanu said that over 950,000 lei will be needed to cover the costs of conserving, strengthening, improving and maintaining the facilities of the reserve this year.
