Parcel carriers are now in the focus of the municipal authorities of Chisinau given that some of them perform their operation right on the street, causing traffic jams and endangering the life of passengers and persons who come to take parcels, IPN reports.
In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, deputy mayor Ilie Ceban said that these business entities have been warned. Their activities generate traffic jams and dangers to the security of persona and also result in piles of garbage and the municipal services simply do not manage to clean up.
Ilie Ceban noted that the district heads were give a month to come up with solutions. In each district, there should be identified by two-three locations where parcel collection and issuing could be performed. These areas should be safe for the population and should not cause congestion.
If the carriers do not comply and do not take measures in the course of a month, the local authorities will start to impose penalties.
