On the occasion of the national holiday “Limba Noastra”/Our Language/ on August 31, anyone willing is invited to take a Romanian language test and win prizes in a competition that will be organized for the first time by the Chisinau Municipality.

The test will involve a dictation of an excerpt from a masterpiece of Romanian literature. Those who will make the fewest mistakes will receive prizes, said municipal culture chief Lucia Culev.

The competition, named “O dictare pentru fiecare” /A Dictation for Everyone/, will be held at the municipal library “B.P. Hasdeu” and at the Letters Department of the Moldova State University.

Another events to be held by the municipality on Our Language Day includes a concert of 1960-1970 patriotic music performed by young Moldovan singers.
