Municipality requests economic entities to pave and sweep pavements and territories situated between intersections
The economic entities in the capital will sanitize not only the surrounding territories, but also all the space between two intersections. Indications in this respect were given by interim mayor Veaceslav Iordan, during the City Hall session held on Monday, March 12.
Iordan argued for his request, pointing out a case occurred on Sunday, on Miron Costin Street, where a monument of the participants in the Afghanistan War is to be erected. The Association of Green Spaces have sanitized the surrounding territory and trimmed the trees, but as soon as they left, the administration of a nearby restaurant set up a car parking sign. The interim mayor was indignant at the fact that this economic entity used the work of the municipal services, and requested the pretors and heads of subdivisions to insist that economic entities sanitize not only the surrounding territories, but also those placed “from corner to corner”, otherwise their activity license will be withdrawn.
Earlier, in order to solve the problem of pavements in the capital, former interim mayor Vasile Ursu requested economic entities to pave the sidewalks not only in front of their offices, but also from one intersection to another. To facilitate this activity, Ursu allowed the economic entities placed on the same street to join efforts.
