Municipality completes running repair of Mihai Viteazul Street bridge
The Chisinau municipality has completed a running repair of the bridge on Mihai Viteazul Street. The rehabilitation of the travel surface and the railing was done in 10 days at a cost of 2.5 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The City Hall said in a press release that the running repair work was part of the municipal Road Rehabilitation Program and was performed by the municipal roads management agency Exdrupo. The running repair aimed at smoothing the traffic flow in light of repairs of the streets Mihai Viteazul and Petricani.
However, the bridge still needs a more extensive repair that requires 35 million lei, an amount which the municipality doesn't have on hand.
The 300 meters long and 22 meters wide bridge on Mihai Viteazul Street was built in the 1970s and underwent its previous running repair in 1990.
