Chisinau City Hall will not sign documents regarding turnkey structure of building until the contractors have equipped the adjacent territory with utilities, and the residents have finalized the works in the apartments. Interim mayor Vasile Ursu stated Monday at the City Hall’s sitting that at present many blocks of flats are put into operation “in white version”, where, besides that construction works in apartments are not finalized, the contractors do not pave with asphalt and do not equip the adjacent territory with utilities and many of the houses lack power and gas. Interim mayor is worried about the fact that the construction enterprises “put money into their pockets”, and the consequences fall upon the municipality, because it subsequently faces the need to asphalt the access roads around them in order to ensure the movement of people near these blocks. “No norm stipulates the putting into commission “in white version”, Ursu asserts. He mentioned that such a version can be accepted only for the apartments where the citizens can equip their house according to their financial possibilities, but not in case of building infrastructure. Interim mayor suggested the apartments’ owners to conclude contracts of finalising the works inside the flats with the contractors who build the house, because it will reduce the cost of the works. In this context, Ursu voiced his dissatisfaction with the fact that after putting into operation the lifts, people use them for carrying construction materials, which makes them useless too soon.
