A number of Chisinau city councilmen demand that the route of the minibus No.101 be reestablished. The leader of the Social-Democratic faction in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) Eduard Musuc filed a relevant application to the Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca at the recent CMC meeting. Musuc says that the minibus route that connected Botanica sector and Durlesti town was shortened on October 17 without consulting the citizens and the owners of the 20 minibuses working on the route. Musuc stated that the minibus owners are dissatisfied with local authorities’ decision because their incomes have diminished considerably. He asked the Transport and Communication Ways Division to investigate the case so as to avoid a conflict of interests. CMC chairman Mihai Ghimpu told the head of the Transport and Communication Ways Division Veaceslav Tarna to avoid making decision regarding the modification of routes without consulting the sides involved.
