In the 2016-2017 school year, the authorities want to fill the vacancies in the education system, to optimize the school network and improve the material and technological conditions. These goals are included in the Final Resolution of the Municipal Conference of Teachers, which took place on Friday, August 26, IPN reports.

Authorities also plan to develop the school buildings, to launch an online enrollment system and to design new schools for recently built neighborhoods.

Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, head of the education, youth and sports municipal division, recapped the results of 2015-2016. “We had a little bit of everything – confrontations, blockages, natural and social disasters, yet we’ve managed to maintain a balanced education system”, declared the official.

Ministry of Education Corina Fusu also attended the event and said that all children have a right to education and thus must have equal access to schooling. “Each one of us must provide the necessary conditions for the efficient unfolding of the education process. We must focus on developing human capital as a resource for attaining social stability and a better future”, said Fusu.

The event was attended by 700 teachers and school managers, decision-makers, representatives of local public authorities and union leaders.
