Municipal Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital outfitted with new equipment

The Municipal Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital of Chisinau was equipped with an artificial respiration machine, a saniutary car, sets of bedclothes and protective suits. The donation was made by the Chisinau City Hall on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the hospital, IPN reports.

Mayor general Ion Ceban congratulated the
154 doctors and ancillary staff and handed over diplomas to them. “The personnel of the Municipal Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital had been fully involved in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic since its beginning,” Ion Ceban posted on social media.

On the first days of the pandemic, the institution was classed as a strategic institution for the provision of medical assistance to patients with children with coronavirus from the municipality and from the country. At the moment, the hospital provides medical assistance also to refugee children with infectious diseases. The hospital has about 100 beds in wards and four reanimation and intensive care beds.
