A first multi-purpose sports field will be put up in Trușeni commune of Chisinau municipality. This is intended for both students and sports lovers from the locality, IPN reports.
The project, which also includes playgrounds and green areas, involves investments of 6.5 million lei, which were earmarked in the Chisinau municipality’s budget for 2024.
Deputy mayor Ilie Ceban, who is on a fact-finding visit to Trușeni, discussed the stages of the project with the local administration and proposed to include this into the “Football in Schools” program initiated by the Moldovan Football Federation.
The new stadium, located within the precincts of “Gh. Madan” Secondary School, will be equipped with grounds for football, basketball, volleyball, and handball, a running track, a workout area and playgrounds.
The project includes complex drainage works. It is projected to be completed 2025. The Chisinau City Hall is also involved in the reconstruction of G. Coșbuc St in Trușeni, with budget allocations of 3.7 million lei at the first stage and 4 million lei at the second stage.
In 2020-2023, the Chisinau City Hall co-financed development projects to the value of almost 11 million lei in Trușeni, including road and educational infrastructure, and launched new transport routes to facilitate the connection between Trușeni and Chisinau.
