The legislature’s first sitting of the 2013 spring-summer session will take place in the reconstructed building of Parliament. Speaker Marian Lupu Tuesday said the reconstruction works will be resumed at the end of this month or the beginning of July, Info-Prim Neo reports. Marian Lupu added that effort will be made for the works to be completed by the end of this year so that the MPs move to their offices when the 2013 spring-summer session starts. At the end of May, the legislative body decided to allocate 200 million lei from the state budget for repairing the Parliament’s building destroyed in April 2009. For the money to be allocated, the 2012 state budget must be amended. The state will issue a series of securities by subscription. According to the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, 200 million lei is needed to finish the repair works and outfit the building.
