MPs' speeches will be metered
A chronometer will be placed in the assembly hall where the MPs come together for sittings. “If you look at it, I will not have problems with you and you will not have problems with me,” Speaker Mihai Ghimpu said before the start of Tuesday's sitting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Mihai Ghimpu fulfilled the promise he made last yearend as the MPs, especially the Communist ones, often spoke longer than allowed – 2 minutes.
The Communist MPs did not like the idea. “The members of the Alliance for European Integration should better start the sitting at the correct time,” Communist MP Eduard Musuc said, expressing his dissatisfaction with the fact that the meeting began 15 minutes late.
The agenda was approved closer to 12.00. From 10.30 until 11.50, the Liberal-Democrat MPs had been in a meeting, though the Speaker announced a 15-minute break.
