The spring parliamentary session starts on February 1, when the MPs will start work within the standing commissions to discuss the submitted draft legislative initiatives.

Contacted by IPN, Iuliana Bordeianu, head of the Parliament’s Communication Division, said the date of the first plenary sitting of the spring session will be decided by the Standing Bureau, but it’s not yet known when this will meet.

The Parliament’s Regulations provide that the spring session starts in February and ends in July. Last year the parliamentary session began also on February 1.
