MPs ratify agreement with EIB for building water supply systems in six settlements
The Parliament on February 11 ratified the agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for financing the Water Utilities Development Program implemented in six settlements of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The water supply systems will be built in Floresti, Soroca, Hancesti, Ciadar-Lunga, Orhei and Leova. The neighboring settlements will also be included in the program, deepening on its investment capacity and the repayment capacity.
The total value of the program is €30 million. €20 million of this sum will be provided as a grant. The loan is repayable in 25 years, with a grace period of five years. The interest rate will be fixed separately for every tranche disbursed. The commission is 0.10% a year.
The agreement with the EIB was signed in Brussels on September 16, 2010.
