MPs representing different parties set the key directions of activity for the next parliamentary session that starts in several days. This way, representatives of five parliamentary groups staged a competition of promises in the talk show “Good evening” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
Socialist MP Vasile Bolea said the PSRM prefers to talk more about present and to address the current problems faced by society. “We must work a lot. No one will come from abroad, from Brussels, Kiev or Bucharest, to bring things in our country in order. Evidently, we must work hard on the justice sector reform, the fight against corruption and ensuring of welfare for our citizens,” he stated.
Democratic MP Dumitru Diacov said the next parliamentary session is important at least for maintaining the atmosphere in Parliament and for stabilizing the situation in Moldova, but it is also important to fulfill the commitments undertaken before the European organizations. “That’s why the PDM will be making effort to keep this climate in Parliament. We will try to ensure more optimism for our country. The dominating hatred and struggle should be stopped,” he noted.
According to MP of the Action and Solidarity Party Igor Grosu, the non-punishment of thieves is Moldova’s major problem. Moldovans leave the country in large numbers. “The rule of law should be ensured for the economy to develop, while those who robbed should be jailed and what they stole should be given back to the people,” stated the MP.
MP of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Vasile Năstase noted that they intend to invite the prosecutor general to Parliament to report on the developments in such cases as the Chisinau International Airport, the bank fraud, illegal foreign financing for parties. “We also want to see how the assets of the three banks were sold after they were robbed,” he said.
Shor Party MP Marina Tauber said their party will continue to implement its program. “We must come up with such proposals as the creation of tribunals with a jury when ordinary people can return verdicts or can influence projects in the state,” she noted.
