The current power says it took over with a budget deficit of 1.9 billion lei, while their colleagues from the opposition assert the state treasury was left without gaps. MPs of the opposition claim they now witness taking of political revenge against the functionaries who worked with the former government. The issue was discussed in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Democratic MP Sergiu Sîrbu said the actions of the current power represent revenge taking against all the functionaries who served until now. The independence of all the state institutions, such as the Central Election Commission and the Prosecutor General’s Office, is being undermined. “We saw how the current majority constituted a superstructure for President Dodon, that Supreme Security Council that is not a constitutional body, but has supra-constitutional powers and will make absolutely all the state intuitions to report to it. We saw how the current government during a month has dealt with the elimination of particular functionaries and the distribution of state posts to its people,” stated Sergiu Sîrbu.
The Democrat noted he regrets that the people and the very important social projects for them are neglected in this power division process.
ACUM MP Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, said the current government took over with a budget deficit of 1.9 billion lei and frozen foreign financial assistance. “Regrettably, a large part of the money that will come from the EU, those €100 million in macro-financial assistance that was to come long ago, but was frozen owing to the invalidation of the Chisinau mayoral elections and other antidemocratic deviations, will now be used to initially fill this gap, not to increase the salaries and improve infrastructure,” he stated.
The MP noted a number of former party leaders who robbed and whose names can be found in the Kroll report and in criminal cases will have to answer before an independent prosecutor. The current government will yet have a benevolent attitude to the honest people, including the mayors who were subject to pressure.
