A post of Deputy Speaker of Parliament, a member with the right to vote at PACE and a representative on the Standing Bureau. These are only several of the requests formulated by the representatives of the Shor Party, who said that according to international practice, each group os assigned a post of Deputy Speaker and, according to the proportionality of seats, an MP of the Shor Party should also manage a permanent commission, IPN reports.
The Shor Party has six seats in the current Parliament. MP Marina Tauber said her party is interested in the public administration commission or the commission on environment and regional development.
“According to the norms of the Venice Commission, the group of the Shor Party should be offered a post of Parliament Deputy Speaker, the post of manager of a permanent commission, the post of a member with the right to vote in Moldova’s delegation to PACE, the post of manager of an international delegation, and, evidently, the post of a member of the Standing Bureau. These are our rights and we hope the decisions to this effect will be taken in a European style,” Marina Tauber stated in the program “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on TV8 channel.
In the program, PAS vice president Vladimir Bolea said he will continue his activity in Parliament even if he was earlier proposed for minister of agriculture in the Cabinet of Prime Minster designate Igor Grosu.
“Most probably, I will be proposed for chairman of the commission on agriculture and food industry. I served as deputy chairman of this commission and proposed good bills to amend the tax system in agriculture. This is the area in which I had worked rather productively during two years,” stated Vladimir Bolea.
Furthermore, he said the Republic of Moldova next week will already have a Government.
“The Government will most probably be voted in by Parliament next Thursday. We want to be inclusive, not because we do not have people, but because we want to attract all the professionals who want to work for the country’s benefit as part of the government. The people should send their CVs through the party’s website. Over 400 persons already did so,” stated Bolea.
In accordance with the law, after the parliamentary groups are constituted, the Head of State opens consultations with the MPs for identifying a candidate for Prime Minister. After the presidential decree is signed, the Premier designate has 15 days to create the governmental team and present a government program.
