The MPs on September 8 will come together for the second sitting of the extraordinary session of Parliament. They are to give a second reading to the amendments providing that the recipients of all types of pensions and state social benefits that do not exceed 5,000 lei a month will get a lump sum of 1,500 lei in assistance after October 1, IPN reports.
Also, a monthly allowance of 1,000 lei will be paid for looking after a child either the parents are socially insured or not. Also from October 1, the monthly child benefit paid up to the child’s age of three for twins or more children born at once is raised from 370 to 500 lei.
The MPs will also vote on the bill to institute particular posts in the public administration, such as secretary of state and deputy secretary general of the ministry.
The sitting starts at 10am.
On August 26, the MPs had the first extraordinary sitting in which they adopted amendments to the state budget. The ordinary autumn session is to begin on September 15.
