The MPs passed 60% of the bills that were put forward since the eleventh legislature of Parliament started. According to preliminary statistics concerning legislative process in 2021, there were proposed 272 normative documents three of which didn’t enter the legislative procedure, IPN reports.
Of all the suggested normative documents, 170 were adopted. The MPs also proposed 200 amendments.
During the autumn session (September 1 – December 24), two motions were presented and they were both rejected – the motion against the policies pursued in the health sector and the motion against the policies in the justice sector.
In accordance with the Constitution, legislative proposals can be port forward by MPs, the President of the Republic of Moldova, the Government and the People’s Assembly of ATU Gagauzia.
Since Parliament of the eleventh legislature was formed, the MPs had had 25 plenary sittings.
