Socialist MP Vladimir Mizdrenco tested positive for COVID-19. He informed himself about this through a social networking site, IPN reports.
“Today, together with other colleagues of the Socialist parliamentary group, we had the test for COVID-19. Not long ago, I received the result and this is positive. Usually, I had favorable associations with the word “positive”, not yet now,” he wrote.
The MP said he feels fine and does not have symptoms typical of the disease. “Nevertheless, I will have to self-isolate for 14 days under the strict supervision of the family doctor,” said Vladimir Mizdrenco.
By an order signed by Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grechanyi on May 22, the MPs started to self-isolate and will remain under such a regime until they confirm that they tested negative for COVID-19. The move was made after it became known that Democratic MP Eugeniu Nikiforchuk contracted the virus.
