MP seat vacated
Ion Ciontoloi, MP representing Moldova Noastra Alliance Party, has relinquished his mandate and informed the Parliament about his decision at the first sitting of the autumn/winter session on October 4.
At the same sitting, the Parliament declared the seat vacant.
Ciontoloi gave up his chair in the legislature in exchange for the office of Causeni district chairman, which he obtained as a result of the local elections this June.
The next on the list of the former Democrat Moldova Bloc, who will replace Ciontoloi as parliamentary deputy, is ex-deputy mayor of Chisinau Anatol Turcanu, currently vice director of the Territorial Development Agency.
When asked by Info-Prim Neo whether he will accept the vacated seat, Turcanu said he was not ready to give an answer, as he wasn’t officially informed of that.
