The administration of the Democratic Party (PDM) requested MP Nicolai Dudoglo to choose between the membership of the party and the status of founder of the public organization “New Gagauzia” based in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. In a press release, the PDM said the public association is a movement with political objectives that do not match the policy pursued by the PDM, IPN reports.
The party said that by the objectives that Nicolai Dudoglo intends to promote as part of the movement, he becomes incompatible with the status of member of the PDM and of the Democratic parliamentary group. At the same time, he becomes incompatible with the views and actions concerning the pro-European modernization of the country promoted by the party.
According to the press release, if the MP chooses to further become involved in the activity of the given political movement, he will have to immediately leave the PDM or he will be excluded in accordance with the party’s statutes and regulations.
