Chisinau court, Ciocana headquarters, ordered, on September 18, a 30-day house arrest for MP Marina Tauber, deputy chairperson of the "Șor" Party, IPN reports.
"I do not know how I am going to fulfil my MP duties. These days I was detained as a dangerous offender, by order of Greceanii and Dodon,” said Marina Tauber after the court session.
The court session took place behind closed doors, while several supporters of the "Șor" Party protested in front of the Ciocana Court.
The magistrates' decision comes in response to the request of the anti-corruption prosecutors, who asked for an arrest warrant against the MP. Also, on September 19, judges will decide on the anti-corruption prosecutors’ request concerning a 30-day house arrest for Reghina Apostolova. On the morning of September 17, the doctors who monitor the health status of MP Reghina Apostolova, detained a day ago, gave her permission to participate in the criminal proceedings.
The MPs Marina Tauber and Reghina Apostolova, whose immunity was lifted by the Parliament on September 16, were detained on the same day. The Prosecutor General's Office notes that the detention comes as a result of "their attempt to avoid criminal prosecution".
