Action and Solidarity Party MP Dumitru Alaiba has been appointed chair of Parliament’s Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance in place of fellow PAS lawmaker Dumitru Budianschi, who will remain on the Commission as a simple member, IPN reports.

Dumitru Alaiba will be replaced by Valentina Manic (PAS) as the Commission’s secretary.

Additionally, PAS lawmaker Victor Spînu will fill the member seat left vacant on the Commission by his party colleague Zinaida Popa, who decided to keep her job as a Chisinau city councilor after being elected MP.

The Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance has 10 members, including a chairperson and two deputy chairs – Radu Marian of PAS and Com-Soc lawmaker Petru Burduja
