The National Patrolling Inspectorate has said that parts of a number of Chisinau streets will be inaccessible to traffic owing to the cycling event “Velohora – 2014” that will take place on May 18, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Inspectorate, the races will set off from the Great National Assembly Square and will have the following itinerary: Stefan cel Mare - Ciuflea - Viaduct - Dacia - Decebal - Gagarin - Albisoara - Renasterii - Tudor Vladimirescu - Calea Orheiului - Petricani - M. Viteazul - Columna - Calea Iesilor (up to the Park “Alunelul”), and back along Calea Iesilor towards Stefan cel Mare Blvd.
The traffic will be supervised by patrol cars and about 50 police officers at intersections. In connection with this event, the National Patrolling Inspectorate calls on the drivers to be tolerant of the possible difficulties in traffic and to obey the instructions of the patrolling inspectors.
“Velohora – 2014” will start in the Great National Assembly Square at 9am and will end at 4pm with a concert by the band “Zdob si Zdub”.
