An exact copy of the miracle-working icon of the Mother of God Axion Estin, from the ancient Protaton church in Karyes, the capital of Mount Athos, will be brought to Capriana Monastery on September 4. Metropolitan Vladimir, the head of the Moldovan Orthodox Church, will officiate a Divine Liturgy on this occasion, IPN learned from ortodoxia.md.

On September 3 at 11:00 PM the icon will be met at the entrance to the village of Capriana and 40 minutes later it will be expected by the abbot of Capriana at the monastery's gate.

After midnight and until the early hours of September 5, the Monastery will host a whole series of divine services, including one officiated by Metropolitan Vladimir starting around 9:00 AM on September 4. The services will also include the chanting of the hymn known as Axion Estin, or the Truly Worthy One, as is also the name of the icon.
