A man aged 51 from Vulcanesti town died on the spot when the motorcycle he was driving collided head-on with a car. The accident happened on the R-38 router near Gavanoasa village of Cahul district on the afternoon of September 9, IPN reports.

The head of the National Patrolling Inspectorate’s press service Diana Fetco said the man was driving a motorcycle without a license plate and had a passenger aged 54, who is also from Vulcanesti. On the R-38 road, the driver tried to overtake a vehicle and collided head-on with a car moving according to rules.

The monocycle driver died at the scene, while the passenger was taken to the Vulcanesti District Hospital.
