A careless motorcyclist and his passenger have been hospitalized with heavy traumas after a traffic accident.
Paulina Iachimovschi, Traffic Police PR officer, told Info-Prim Neo the collision took place on Balti-Cupcini road. The 22-year-old motorcyclist took his eyes off the road for a moment and crashed into a Mercedes. He suffered an open fracture of the right thigh, chest trauma and brain concussion. Meanwhile, his passenger suffered a brain concussion as well and a head trauma. Both of them have been hospitalized.
An Audi A-8 with Soroca plates hit a 52-year-old woman on Ginta Latina Street, and then crashed into a Mercedes. The young driver, aged 22, tried to run away, but was caught by the police. The victim suffered multiple traumas and an occipital lobe wound.
A 17-year-old boy was driving a Mercedes in reverse gear on a street from Vulcanesti, when, inexperienced and careless, he hit a 35-year-old woman. She suffered various injuries, while the boy fled. However, the police held him afterwards.
Over the last 24 hours, 7 people have been injured in 5 car crashes on Moldovan roads. Besides, traffic officers fined 411 drivers for breaking circulation rules.
