“Motions day” in Parliament

A special sitting of Parliament will be held on July 27 two examine two simple motions registered earlier and the no-confidence motion against the Filip Government. Such a decision was taken by the Parliament’s Standing Bureau, IPN reports.

At the beginning of the July 22 sitting, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu said all the motions will be examined on July 27 so that all the important drafts laws could be discussed during the next two days, before the start of the MPs’ vacation.

Besides the no-confidence motion, the MPs will also debate the simple motions against Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega and Minister of Construction Vasile Batca.

The no-confidence motion was proposed by the Socialists, but was also signed by the Liberal-Democratic MPs and several Communist MPs. The simple motions were signed only by the Socialist parliamentary group.
