Mothers with seven or more children, as well as persons who take care of a first degree invalid child up to 16 years old will benefit from free medical insurance. The Parliament approved on Thursday, November 23, a draft law on this issue. According to deputy minister of Health and Social Protection, Boris Golovin, during the implementation of the compulsory medical insurances, there were asserted a series of unemployed persons, such as mothers with many children and persons taking care of invalid children who can not afford medical insurance because of their social statute. Several MPs pleaded in favor of offering free medical insurance to mothers with 3 or more children, as well. This proposal will be examined in the second reading. At present in Moldova are registered 4806 persons taking care of an invalid child up to 16 years and 312 mothers with 7 children or more. In light of the price of MDL 816 of the medical insurance, the necessary sum of money for covering the insurance constitutes over MDL 4.1 mln.
