The mother of the three-year-old boy who was found on a street in Botanica district of Chisinau this morning was identified. The woman called the 112 Service herself when she saw that the boy was missing.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati said the woman related that she left the door unlocked and went out for a while to take the second child to the kindergarten. Meanwhile, the child aged three left the apartment.

After the child was taken to the Botanica Police Inspectorate, he was transported by an ambulance to the hospital for examinations.

Natalia Stati noted the woman faces a fine of 500 to 450 lei for not fulfilling her parental responsibilities or 15 to 25 hours of community service. The Division for the Protection of Children’s Rights was informed about this case.

A child aged three was found on Decebal St in the morning of February 5. The boy was alone and was not warmly dressed. A driver saw him and informed a police team patrolling nearby.
