Elena Mosjilin from Sangera, Chisinau municipality, is raising 13-year-old twins, both with congenital disabilities. Her husband became disabled after having tuberculosis. The woman came to Info-Prim Neo with a call for help. The family barely makes ends meet and there are days when they have nothing to eat. The woman says that both children study at home. The girl has 2nd degree of disability and the boy has the 1st degree and is bedridden. Their father got bedbound three years ago. Together, they receive about 1000 lei in social aids, which are spent on utility bills and there’s nothing left for diapers and food. They live in an apartment improvised from two dormitory rooms, where they also made a kitchen. The woman complains that the wind blows through the old windows. The family risks losing this home as the woman’s mother bequeathed it to some other people. The woman is currently trying to restore her rights to the apartment in court. Elena Mosjilin says that her worries are increasing as winter is nearing. The utility bills are more expensive and she doesn’t have warm blankets or clothes for the children. She thinks it would be easier for her if she had a job, but she must stay home and take care of her disabled husband and children. The man could get back on his feet, but needs a €5000 surgery for that and lacks the money. The boy with 1st degree of disability needs continuous rehabilitation. He has to go to the rehabilitation center 5 times a week. Even if the treatment is free of charge, the woman needs money for fuel, as the boy must be transported by car. Elena Mosjilin calls on authorities, NGOs, companies and simple people to help her. She is in despair and doesn’t know what the next day will bring and if she will have food for her children. Those willing to help the family can get in touch with Elena Mosjilin by calling 078 067761 or by calling Info-Prim Neo at 022 211631.
