A disturbing incident took place in a family in Chisinau. An 8 year old boy was hurt with a knife by his drunken mother. Nicolae Starciuc, head of the Municipal Children’s Hospital “V. Ignatenco”, told Info-Prim Neo that the boy was brought to the hospital on Tuesday night, June 19. He had multiple knife cuts on his body and the doctors recommended his hospitalization. The boy's grandmother refused categorically and took him home. The doctors announced the police. The spokesman of the General Police Commissariat Adrian Jovmir said that the child is now with his maternal grandmother. Until the incident, he lived with his 30 year old mother and her boyfriend, who isn’t his biological father. The circumstances of the case are being investigated to decide whether the woman will be or not deprived of her parent rights.
