The admission section of the maternity hospital of the Mother and Child Institute has been fully repaired within the campaign “Revive Moldova”, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the campaign.
“When we started this project, we set an objective: to offer the mothers who come to give birth here decent conditions so as to show them that we value and respect them. Modernizing the Mother and Child Institute is a promise that I made personally to my wife, who gave birth to our two sons here. I promised her that this center will look better in the future. I also promised the doctors from here that they will work in better conditions,” said Vlad Plahotniuc, founder of the Edelweiss Foundation and initiator of the campaign “Revive Moldova”.
Director of the Mother and Child Institute Stefan Gatcan said that we can now speak about the first results achieved within the campaign “Revive Moldova”. “The admission section is the gate of the maternity hospital and the first ring in the appropriate treatment of women who come here,” he stated.
The renovation works changed significantly the aspect and quality of the conditions in the admission section. They closed the first stage of modernization at the hospital, financed with donations collected within the social campaign “Revive Moldova”.
The idea of carrying out such a campaign, put forward by Vlad Plahotniuc, was put into practice by the charity foundation Edelweiss. Donations so far have been made by ordinary people and personalities from Moldova and abroad, including President Nicolae Timofti and Head of Parliament Igor Corman, by the Government of Romania, businesspeople and people of culture.
A new fundraising stage will take place on October 19, within a tele-marathon hosted by Andreea Marin at Publika TV.
