On the National Greening Day on the last Saturday of October, most trees well be planted on Trifan Balta Street. Eliferii Haruta, the head of the Green Spaces Agency, told the City Hall's meeting on Monday that besides serving the main purpose of the Day, this will also help to curb landslides in the area. Eliferii Haruta said that more than 20,000 trees and shrubs will be planted across the municipality. This includes maple, ash, acacia, willow and linden trees, as recommended by the Academy of Sciences. The authorities are encouraging citizens to join the municipal workers in the greening efforts on the last Saturday of October.
