Most of newly elected district heads represent opposition
Out of those 29 district heads elected until July 11, 21 are representatives of the opposition and eight – represent the Party of Communists.
According to the information presented by the Central Election Commission, most of district heads represent “Moldova Noastra” Alliance (AMN) – 14, followed by PCRM – 8, three district heads are on behalf of the Democrat Party (PD), two of the Centrist Union, one on behalf of Christian Democrat People’s Party (PPCD) and one of the Social Democracy Party (PSD).
The most offices of district deputy-heads elected so far belong to PD – 16, followed by PPCD, 6 – ruling party, 5 represent AMN, 3 –Republican People’s Party and one deputy-head on behalf of the Liberal Party, Social-Liberal Party and Electoral Bloc “Patria-Rodina-Ravnopravie”.
Only the district heads of Floresti, Rezina and Rascani were not elected yet.
