The Chisinau public heat utility resumed the supply of hot water to apartment buildings. Of the 1,599 apartment buildings, 1,463 already have hot water, IPN reports.

In the August 12 ordinary meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, SA “Termocom” director general Mihai Cernei said that 48 buildings are not yet supplied with hot water owing to pipe accidents and problems related to water meters, while 88 remain disconnected from the supply in connection with maintenance and repair works performed on their pipes. Mihai Cernei assured that 35 of the 88 buildings will have hot water from today, August 12.

There are also apartment buildings that were disconnected from the hot water supply long ago, but it is the managers of these bundling who decide when to be reconnected. SA “Termocom” called on the bad payers to clear the debts for heat, which total about 200 million lei for the 2012-2013 heating season.
