The volunteers and NGOs that most actively support the volunteer initiatives in Moldova will be awarded at the tenth Festival of Volunteers 2012 on December 9. The event will take place at the Palace of the Republic, starting at 12 noon, Info-Prim Neo reports. For the first time in the festival’s history, there will be awarded personalized trophies that were specially created for this event. The organizers said the tenth festival will be marked by elegant style and innovative approach. National singers will give a concert as part of the festival. They will perform live. Volunteering is one of the main international values, being one of the keys to success on the way to democratization and Europeanization, it is said in a communiqué that announces the start of the festival. The event is organized by the Service for Peace and the Coalition for Promoting the Law and Volunteering Activities, with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Chisinau Division of Education, Youth and Sport, and UNFPA.
