Morning Chisinau – Bucharest flight merged with evening one
Thirteen persons could not reach Bucharest in the morning of January 15 owing to the unfavorable weather conditions that prevented the planes from landing on the airport in Romania. The morning flight was merged with the evening one.
The manager for Public Relations of the national carrier Air Moldova has told Info-Prim Neo that the plane flying to Bucharest is smaller and is thus more vulnerable to unfavorable weather conditions. Victor Chironda said the passengers of the morning flight were informed that the flight will not be operated owing to the dense fog on Henri Coanda Airport and everybody agreed to wait for the evening flight.
The information service of the Bucharest international airport Henri Coanda confirmed for Info-Prim Neo that there was fog in the morning and they agreed with the partners from Moldova to transfer the flight for another hour.
A person wrote to Info-Prim Neo Agency, saying the attitude of Air Moldova is hostile and irresponsible. The person said the real reason for which the flight was cancelled was the low number of sold tickets and Air Moldova thus decided to merge the two flights. “What about those who must fly to the next destination????? Tickets lost, money spent, problems at work or the place of study, anxiety, etc. This company does not cover the losses and does not contribute to ensuring the flight further,” said the author of the message.
The evening flight to Bucharest sets off at 19.30. No other flights from Chisinau were cancelled or delayed.
