Only 44% of the twelfth graders who sat the Baccalaureate exams got the required average grade. A number of 46 test papers were annulled because the students copied a part of the answers that appeared on social networking sites. The preliminary results of the Baccalaureate exams were presented in a news conference on June 30, IPN reports.
Minister of Education Maia Sandu said only one student got only grades of ‘10’ in all the exams. As many as 161 students have an average grade of over ‘9’, while 1,189 – of over ‘8’.
Of the over 27,000 twelfth graders, 22% were students who didn’t pass the exams the previous sessions. “Unfortunately, the largest part of these students failed again the Baccalaureate exams,” said Maia Sandu.
Director of the Quality Assurance Agency Anatol Topala said that 400 students came to none of the Baccalaureate exams, while 22,000 test papers were challenged.
The final results of the examination session will be made public after July 6.
