More than 7 thousand young people admitted to budget-funded seats in Moldovan universities

During the basic 2021 admission session to higher education, 4170 students (83%) were enrolled in Moldovan universities at budget-funded seats, while 840 seats remained vacant. At the same time, 2,944 master's students (96%) were admitted to budget-funded seats, while 137 seats remained vacant.

According to a Ministry of Education and Research press release, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemițanu", the State University of Physical Education and Sport, the "Ștefan cel Mare" Police Academy and the Academy of Public Administration, during the basic session, have filled all budget-funded seats. The most demanded academic areas continue to be law, business and administration, finance, design, information and communication technologies, medicine and dentistry.

The additional admission session for unfilled seats will take place between August 16 and 26. There are over 300 budget-funded seats in education sciences, physical sciences and environmental sciences. Similarly, around additional 200 vacancies are available for the supplementary session in engineering and manufacturing and processing technologies, while another 100 budget-funded seats are available in agricultural sciences, forestry, architecture and construction.
