A number of 56 taxi drivers were penalized last night within the operation “White Nights”. As many as 420 taxi drivers were stopped for checks overall, IPN reports.

Employees of the National Auto Transport Agency fined 39 cab drivers for violating the passenger and freight transportation norms. Nine drivers were penalized by inspectors of the State Main Tax Inspectorate for illegally performing entrepreneurial activities, while seven drivers were caught violating traffic rules by patrolling inspectors and got penalty points and fines. One driver was caught driving under the influence.

The police also arrested a person who was wanted.
