More scholarships for Moldovans at European universities

The Moldovan young people will have more chances to obtain scholarships to study at higher education establishments in Europe owing to the EU’s Erasmus+ program that was launched in Chisinau on February 19, IPN reports.

Elena Madan, the representative of the EU Delegation to Moldova, said the seven-year program does not limit the number of scholarships. “Any Moldovan young person who will show talent and learning abilities can obtain a scholarship to study in Europe,” she stated. Simultaneously, the young people from the EU will be able to study at universities in Moldova.

The Erasmus+ program aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernizing education, training, and youth work. With a budget of about €15 billion, it will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad. Erasmus+ will support transnational partnerships among education, training, and youth institutions and organizations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of education and work.
