More money to residential fund – more repaired residence blocks
The Chisinau City Hall does not allocate Municipal Budget money for the reparation of the capital’s residence blocks. The decision to commence reparations belongs to the blocks’ administrators, and the costs are completely covered by money from the residents’ contributions to the utility-residential fund.
“If you notice that the block you live in needs urgent repairs, which are not getting done, that means that insufficient resources have been collected for these works”, stated Management and Sanitation Department chief Simion Roman, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The sum necessary to repair one block wing is anywhere from 100,000 lei to several millions, depending on the complexity of the repairs. “The Department cannot contribute to the repair works, but representatives of the Department inspect the repaired blocks to see if the works done correspond to the sums indicated by those in charge”, added Simion Roman.
There are over 1,500 blocks that are under the management of the General Utility-Residence and Management Department, part of which is the Management and Sanitation Department.
